Week 6 EOC: Travel & Tourism Team Decision Making

Fall is a better time than winter to travel because not only is it not as cold, but the fall colors are more appealing to the eye. "Fall foliage turns bright red and yellow in Branson during the months of September and October. The climate is nearly perfect during these two months with cool mornings and mild afternoons. The president of Branson Entertainment Incorporated believes that the beautiful foliage each year is an additional attraction for Branson tourists." (pg. 147). Branson is a popular tourist destination for senior citizens, and offering senior citizen discounts would give even more seniors a reason to travel to Branson. "The city, located in central Missouri, attracts guests from all over the country. Many senior citizen groups from surrounding states take charter bus tours to see their favorite country music performers and enjoy gambling provided by local casinos. Outlet malls located near Branson are an additional attraction for tourists. Most tourists stay an average of two nights in the local hotels." (Pg.47). Branson could offer family plans like free bowling, family food discounts, and things like that that appeal to everybody. Some senior citizens really enjoy spending time with their families, and having deals for them would likely increase the number of tourism. "A cohort consists of a group of people who share certain characteristics. The characteristics of the people in a cohort may include income or spending levels, age, ethnicity, geographic location, credit rating, or any combination of these." (Pg. 147).
